Maidan Games (ألعاب الميدان) is a set of traditional Gulf table and street games: dama, carrom, sija and teelah. This page explains what the app keeps, what it sends, and why. In short: there are no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking.
What stays on your phone
Your progress, coins, sets, settings, the name you choose and the players you have blocked are saved on your device only. We cannot see them. Uninstalling the app removes all of it, and Settings → Reset progress erases your progress.
Online play
When you play online, the app connects to our game server and sends what a match needs:
- your chosen player name, your ratings, and the look of your pieces;
- a random player code created on your phone. Other players only ever see a scrambled form of it, which lets block and report work;
- your moves, and the quick reactions you pick from a fixed list (there is no free text chat).
The server holds this in memory while you are connected and does not store it in a database. Your internet address is used briefly to stop abuse (for example, too many attempts to join a room). Our hosting provider may keep standard connection logs for a short time.
Reports
If you report a player, the report (the reason, the player's name and scrambled code, and your scrambled code) is written to the server's log and sent to us so a person can review it. After several reports, a name is shown as "Player" to others.
Purchases
Purchases are made through Google Play or the App Store. They handle your payment details; we never see them. The app only receives a confirmation of what was bought, so it can unlock it on your device.
Permissions
- Internet: for online play and purchases.
- Vibration: for touch feedback, which you can turn off in Settings.
- Storage (older Android versions only): to save a replay video to your gallery when you ask.
Children
The games are suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Player names are filtered, and anyone can block or report a player.
This website
This website has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics and no tracking. It loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for the font files, and those servers see your internet address. Your "Reduce motion" choice, and whether you have already seen the opening animation, are kept in your browser's own storage and never leave your device.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
